Israel deploys advanced weaponry, intensifies attacks in Gaza

Israel has intensified its military aggression in Gaza by deploying advanced "Bar" rockets and suicide drones, causing extensive damage in densely populated areas. While claiming to minimize civilian casualties, the strikes have killed dozens and injured many, adding to the death toll of over 52,310 since October 2023.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Israel's military has deployed its newly-developed "Bar" rockets in Gaza for the first time, marking an escalation in its ongoing military campaign that has devastated densely populated areas in the besieged strip.

The rockets, known for their precision and swift operational deployment, were reportedly used to target southern Gaza, causing extensive damage. While Israeli military officials claimed the strikes aimed to minimize civilian casualties and disrupt Palestinian resistance groups, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported over a dozen civilian deaths and 37 injuries from these attacks.

In addition, Israel has intensified its use of suicide drones, targeting shelters and homes of displaced Palestinians. Weapon fragments identified by Trevor Ball, a munitions expert, revealed that one-way attack drones serve as guided missiles capable of hovering over targets before striking.

Israel continues to employ advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence tools, to enhance its operations in Gaza. These technologies have exacerbated destruction across residential areas in the occupied Palestinian territories.

On Monday alone, Gaza’s Health Ministry confirmed the deaths of nearly 40 people amid intensified Israeli airstrikes. The military has also used old armored personnel carriers packed with explosives for preemptive strikes, further adding to the carnage.

International outrage has grown as humanitarian organizations, including the Red Cross, have reported catastrophic conditions in Gaza. Pierre Krahenbuhl, director general of the Red Cross, emphasized the suffering of Palestinians, including families of prisoners and over 1,400 first responders killed by Israeli attacks.

Over the past 24 hours, at least 72 Palestinians have been killed, pushing the total fatalities since October 2023 to more than 52,310, with nearly 117,800 others wounded.
